The ailing economy is prompting the owner of Christ Medical Center to delay a major expansion of the Oak Lawn hospital. Advocate Health Care is shelving major capital outlays because of turmoil in the credit markets and investment losses, a spokeswoman for the Oak Brook health care system said Monday.
